THE ALUMNI WALK

Dear SOU Softball Alums and Current Softball Student-Athletes—

Because of the hard work you’ve all collectively done since 2001, we now have plans to construct a new softball complex at Southern Oregon University. From the days of playing in an old baseball field to the National Championship teams in three of four years to six World Series trips in seven years—you’ve all played a very important role in the success of this National Power Program.

Our plans are to transform the current University Field into a brand-new state of the art complex. The complex will feature a brand new all turf infield and outfield, new dugouts, new bleachers, new concession stand, new ticket booth, new restrooms and a brand-new video scoreboard. We are confident this will be among the top softball complexes in the region.

But we need your help. The cost of this project will be 100% fundraised. We are grateful to get a $1 million gift to start the program, now we are aiming to raise the remaining funds.

We are planning to have an Alumni Walk (current student-athletes are included) area in the new complex as you walk into the grandstands. This area is where we will recognize the alums that helped us raise money for this project.

We are asking you to give what you can to this project and also to share this link and page with your family and friends. We have set up three different giving levels for each alum—Raider ($2,500 and over), Red ($1,000 to $2,499) and Black ($1 to $999). You will be recognized based on what you and people have given under your name as an alum. Again, we just ask that after giving, you share this with your loved ones and friends to give in your name as well. Even if you can’t give, please help share the word.

We are grateful for all you gave this school and program as a student-athlete and are grateful for you giving and spreading the word to help us build a first-class complex for many future SOU softball student-athletes.
