Recognition & Impact
Each and every day, SOU benefits from its philanthropic partnership with alumni, corporate and community leaders, and other friends who believe in the future of the university. The strength of this partnership provides inspiration, leadership, and financial support to keep the university’s educational experience meaningful for its students.
Stories of Impact
Private donations play a major role in supporting the university’s mission. Donors have a special relationship with SOU and illustrate their affection by giving generously of their time and financial resources. Their gifts demonstrate confidence in and enthusiasm for the future.
The President’s Circle
The President’s Circle recognizes cumulative annual giving (from July 1-June 30 of each year) of at least $1,000 to any of SOU’s myriad programs. Whatever inspires you—sociology or soccer, chemistry or creative writing, mathematics, or music—your gift is a vital investment in the university’s success.
Churchill Society
Named in honor of Julius Churchill, the university’s first president, the Churchill Society recognizes donors who have made a planned gift to SOU. Planned gifts include bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, life insurance, securities or stock and other planned giving arrangements.
