Affiliate Organizations

SOU Foundation Affiliates are organizations that support a particular unit or activity of Southern Oregon University. Affiliate organizations offer the opportunity for volunteer service to the University in a number of different areas of interest.   • Alumni Association

    SOU ALUMNI ASSOC HZ CMY POS
    The SOU Alumni Association, established in 1929, serves to strengthen the bond between the university and its former students. Governed by a volunteer board, the association sponsors programs and activities to provide a link between the 35,000 alumni and their alma mater. Membership dues help support graduate and undergraduate scholarships, special events, publications and programs.

  • Chamber Music Concerts

    Chamber Music Concerts (CMC), founded in 1984, is a concert presenter dedicated to bringing world-class chamber music to the Rogue Valley for the enjoyment, enrichment and education of the southern Oregon, northern California and Southern Oregon University communities. CMC presents twelve concerts each year from October through May, and features only the highest quality chamber groups.

  • Friends of the Hannon Library

    The Friends of Hannon Library (FHL)was established in 1975 and is comprised of volunteers who share a love of books and scholarship. The Friends work to assist in the growth and development of library resources and services and provide an active forum for the discussion of books and ideas. The Friends also present an annual FHL Speakers Series on topics of literary and intellectual knowledge.

  • Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

    Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Southern Oregon University offers intellectually stimulating classes and social functions for adults of any age. OLLI members can make unlimited selections from up to 90 courses each quarter, three quarters a year, from September through June, for the low annual membership fee of $125. OLLI students may attend classes on both the Ashland and Medford SOU campuses.

  • Raider Club

    Support Athletics 2
    The Raider Club is dedicated to helping student-athletes at Southern Oregon University. Students participating in intercollegiate athletics pursue baccalaureate degrees in more than forty different fields with a senior graduation rate of 85 percent. Funds raised during the annual Fund Drive, Auction, and Golf Shootout go toward student-athlete scholarships and athletics support.

  • Friends of the Schneider Museum of Art

    Friends of the Schneider Museum of Art (SMA) is Southern Oregon University’s venue for a rich spectrum of exhibitions and lively programs. The museum thrives through an active museum membership, an advisory board and the Friends of the Museum. Educational opportunities for students range from museum tours and practicums to on-site work study experiences.
